Verandah- part of The Park, Hyderabad overlooks one of the best sights of Hyderabad- Tank bund, with not only the Buddha statue as its glory but also the newly added Indian Flag, standing tall. Vernadah is a fine dining, multi-cuisine restaurant that is known for its buffet spread. they also have à la carte option and serve north Indian, Italian, Continental and Chinese.
On my most recent visit they had a ‘Handcrafted Italian menu’ on offer that is running the entire month of October. They are offering a three course Italian rustic feast to please your senses. The servers started with a platter of fresh bread sticks and buns (I missed the creamy butter to accompany it though).
Next came the ‘Minestrone Con Orecchiette’ a robust Italian soup with handmade ear shaped pasta, wasn’t too impressive, and a little to bland for my taste.

We also called for ‘Tagliolini Neri’. Squid ink pasta with prawns, capers, chili and extra virgin oil, the smell was really a turn off but the dish looked was elegant and pretty. i couldn’t get myself to taste it but dint find my company en joy it either. ‘Lasagna’ with zucchini, aubergine, spinach, leeks and mushroom was decent and good option for vegetarians.

The ‘Cannelloni’ is a result of romanced sun dried tomato and ricotta, cream sauce; basil oil into a flavour bomb. I could not move the dish away even for a second for my friend to taste it. A dish that is vegetarian and a pure ecstasy (how often does that happen now?)

‘Fagottelli Con Zabaglione’ a dish wish is filled with cheese mousse in ‘Purses’, and served with Zucchini Sauce. Trust me when i say it is mind blowing, the creamy taste overpowers all your senses (in a very cloud nine way)and is a definite must try.

The desserts again were astounding; perfectly executed and enjoyable. ‘Panna Cotta’ that was amarena cherry cream served with chocolate curls and black pepper snap. ‘Zuppa Inglese’– the classic Italian English soup with vanilla whiskey, rich chocolate custard and raspberry coulis. ‘Gelato Di Tiramisu’- Mascarpone ice cream with espresso soaked savoiardi biscuits and coffee sauce.
