The Square at Novotel Hyderabad Convention Center, is especially popular for its Sunday Brunch but I decided to go for it today since i was at the hotel for a meeting. Having heard so much about the place, I have been here for dinners but never lunch. This chic and friendly restaurant and its AL fresco area has quite a welcoming vibe. Executive Chef Gaurav Malhotra joined us for lunch talking about the new live station additions to the brunch counters and upcoming food festivals at the hotel.
The brunch menu has a lavish spread consisting of revered regional classics to contemporary international highlights, from counters that stocked variety of reads, cheese, salad there was a special counter of grills that I loved the most.
While most of it came on table, I always enjoy going for a quick round, around the spread picking some breads, choice of salad, maybe (definitely) a piece of dessert too.
Being a weekday it was quite laid back and I enjoyed the relaxed ambiance of overlooking lush greenery, letting the monsoon air soothe me while I enjoyed every delicacy that came my way.
A sinful assortment of desserts, along with a selection of wines and beverages, are the perfect complement to revered regional classics and international delights.

Ah vacation. How many of us don’t sometimes wish we could escape the hustle, bustle, & day-to-day responsibilities of our normal lives for a week of fun and relaxation somewhere far, far away? But There’s nothing better than a staycation when you don’t want to splurge on air tickets or you don’t have time for a long vacation or waste time commuting, and yet enjoy unwinding in luxury for a few days.
Between restaurants, hotels, and transportation, travel costs can add up fast especially when those costs are multiplied for a family. But that doesn’t mean when vacation time rolls around you can’t still have a great time! This year, why not plan a vacation in your own city? A true Staycation is more than just a week at home; it is an intentional time of fun and relaxation for your whole family. It does take a little effort to do it right, but can ultimately be just as satisfying as going somewhere far away.
I spent my extended weekend having an amazing staycation with my mom. Between work, I hardly get time to spend with her. When Novotel invited me for an experiential review I knew my mom would be a perfect company.
Hotel: The hotel is strategically situated in Hyderabad to accommodate both business and leisure travellers. It is well connected to the International Airport and the location makes you feel like you are away from the city, amidst endless greenery and fresh air. I began my staycation from the very beginning, how? Well by giving up driving and stress of traffic, we opted to choose to travel in car by the hotel and enjoyed our long drive. The fact that it crosses the long stretch of airport road really made me feel as if I am travelling away.
Room: Our room had a pool view with a sky that often witnessed landing and taking off of flights. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in complete relaxation. Their full menu of activities and services helped me meet my travel goals, whether its productivity, fitness, relaxation, or simply wellness of being, just lazying around in front of your TV screen, with room service pampering you endlessly. Novotel is perfectly away from the city offering a cosy abode to unwind in.
Culinary experience: Take a culinary trip around the world without leaving your hotel. Novotel Shamshabad offers a unique dining experience that will delight even the most discriminating palettes. From traditional Indian dishes from the Northwest frontier, to the vibrant flavours of Italy, their restaurants, cafés and lounges showcase the best of global cuisine in inspiring settings.
End the day with a nightcap at the bar or by the picturesque poolside, I loved my Vietnamese coffee that was a perfect end to a long yet relaxing day.
Indulgence: Soak yourself in a therapeutic massage or sip a cocktail in style at the bar or by the pool, where you can enjoy your beverage between laps. well i opted for both, a spa for a much needed pamper session of an Ayurvedia Indian therapy follwed by dinner and drinks by the pool.
Just a button click away lies your weekend of eternal bliss. All you have to do is pack an overnight bag and take off!
Andaz, Delhi by Hyatt is new on the block of premium luxury hotels in Delhi and apart from having great accommodation facilities; they have also received rave reviews for their dining facilities. So i made the most out of my short stop in Delhi and visited AnnaMaya for a meal at Andaz. The first thing you notice about the property is the colorful vibe, a peppy dress code for staff, Ambassador cars for airport transfers.
AnnaMaya, their European hall restaurant is tastefully designed with a relaxed European aesthetic in mind. The color of the stained glass windows is well balanced by the earthy furniture and cutlery. The essence of AnnaMaya’s existence lies in celebrating local ingredients that are made in India – also everything you see here is available on sale, the greens in your dish, masala’s in your curry even the plates you are served in. Their core lies in using all things organic and promoting artisanal products. They have live kitchens and counters, a beautiful pastry section right at the entrance- that will make you want to run for the desserts first.
They serve traditional Indian cuisine with a modern twist, made with consciously sourced produce. Our lunch at AnnaMaya was a lavish one, while the chef induced us with organic knowledge, the lovely team- which we must mention served and hosted us in a very warm Andaz, Keeping up to their name, Andaz Delhi definitely has an Andaz.
What you must try are the salads that boast’s of organic greens and fresh produce. Our meals began with summer fresh lassi’s that were available in flavors of mango, chocolate and mint. The ‘Caramelized Roasted carrots-with Himalayan honey and black onion seeds’ had my heart, a simple dish that tasted exotic, they whip up some really exquisite Indian dishes like ‘Stir-fried okra– with cashews and tamarind’ ‘Amritsari goat milk paneer tikka -with mint chutney’ ‘Chicken Tikka, marinated to perfection with cinnamon, black pepper- glazed with garlic oil’ absolute favorite was the ‘Grilled fish in plantain leaf- with fragrant chili sauce’ and one must no leave Annamaya without tasting their ‘Confit duck- With oranges, ginger and sweet tomato dip’ recommended by chef it was a delight indeed. Their ‘Lamb and spinach patty– with Himalayan timur pepper, onion compote and creamy mash’ was also pleasing.
Any meal or dining experience is incomplete without indulging in something sweet, doesn’t matter if it is at the start or at the end of a meal…or even somewhere in between. Considering the range of desserts available at AnnaMaya, you would probably want to indulge in it after every course.
They have also recently introduced the ‘Monster Shakes’ we must warn you, you need an army to vanish this mighty and sinful shake. if you are here you must try it out, it is layers fruits, waffles, chocolates, sauces, toppings all above the shake curiously ganged up to perfection.

As a kid, I used to love cycling and the love for it continued in my teens as well where I had a blue (yes not pink but blue) ladybird with a basket attached to it, I rode it for an hour daily with my Walkman on (yet another favorite possession) listening to ‘Backstreet Boys’ and ‘Blue Band’ (do you remember their song…All rise?)
So, when I found out about this place ‘Ciclo Café’ (Chee-Kloh is how it’s pronounced) being all about cycling and good food, I had to visit. Located in prime area of Jubilee hills, Ciclo café looks like a chic independent house from outdoors and a very spacious, artistic place indoors. Large seating’s to comfortable couches, you can choose to spend time with your family or friends or just garb a coffee and spend some me time, this place has an open ambiance for all. Ciclo cafe is all about the details, from cycling memorabilia, books & photos to tasteful use of cycle parts in chandeliers, lamps, tables and wall decor in best possible way.
Ciclo cafe (with its successfully running landmark cafe in Chennai) is India’s first Cycling Cafe that promotes cycling as a lifestyle in the country. Apart from serving food and non-alcoholic drinks, the cafe will also have an attached store retailing super-premium cycles. Partnered with the finest -TI cycles, better known for its brands like Hercules, BSA and international brands like Schwinn, Mongoose, Cannon-dale, Bianchi, Montra and GT; promotes a ride of fun and food. Not only this they offer Service of bikes, Bike Rentals and organise bike roads all over India.
As for food, there menu offer fusion of local foods in their smartly presented newspaper menu (like I mentioned it’s all in the details) They have a very cosy bar area. We tried ‘Smoked Watermelon & Feta’ salad, fresh watermelon and feta cheese are a match made in heaven and you can never have enough of it. In appetizers, we had ‘Mini Bombay Vada Pav’ the crispy patty and spicy flavor was scrumptious and so were the flavorsome ‘Butter Poached Wasabi Prawns’ I personally enjoy everything that has a hint of wasabi in it, so there was no doubt when I saw and ordered ‘Mushroom & Broccoli Onion Rings- Wasabi Mayo’ I would enjoy it, and I did. They serve Pizza, both full size and slice wise, we thoroughly enjoyed the ‘4 cheese‘ pizza and ‘Smoked Honey Mustard Chicken’ Pizza. ‘Green Thai Curry with Lemon Grass Scented Rice’ in main course was too bland and disappointing.
I extended my visit post lunch with a meeting right there, and later tasted ‘Pumpkin & Fig Cheese Cake’ (along with hot cappuccino) which was incredible.
So go ahead and enjoy your weekend at Ciclo Cafe Hyderabad, and you might end up making plans for Sunday as well (rent out a cycle and enjoy winter mornings, i am sure heading for it)
Sunny winter weather, perfect for a meal by the pool in conversation with some vivid foodies and the Chefs- Chef Paul Noronha and Chef Vishal Baliga, is how I spent my (almost) last weekend of the year.
With festive vibes and overindulging days, ITC added another unforgettable gastronomical experience when they hosted an Influences meet at their all day restaurant at Deccan Pavilion, where they launched a new menu and invited me to join the other food bloggers and the chef himself over a well curated tasting session.
ITC has been known to host some of the well researched food festivals in Hyderabad and across other chains of ITC restaurant, so when i see their new menu, i can say there was no effort spared. Well this launch is nationwide; each ITC hotels has added the local flavors and love but the core attention and endeavor was given to choosing healthy and fresh, giving their bit of responsible luxury to their guest (without compromising on taste, because healthy doesn’t mean tasteless; right choices and ingredients can make your meal as indulging and healthy as possible)
While we were all engrossed in conversations (on food of course) sipping on bubbly wine, our first dish for the day arrived looking all beautiful- ‘Anise Poached Pears’ fresh, perfectly combined with burrata cheese and pesto sauce, i must say it was indeed an incredible start.
Next came ‘Singaporean Laksa’, well this was my very first time trying a Laksa but after the first sip of this aromatic dish i decided it wasn’t the last. With shrimps, fish, chicken tenders in fragrant coconut soup and rice noodles, i really enjoyed this light textured dish to bits.
I was surprised to see ‘Grilled Haloumi’ on the menu, but was eager to try it. The dish was a platter of roast veggies, chunk of haloumi paired with tangy tomato sauce (that made a wonderful difference), like the section it comes under (soul food) it was good but hands down the next dish was a clear winner – ‘Lamb Rib and Broad Bean Tagine’ with stewed apricots and mint couscous, this dish blew my mind, the perfectly tender juicy meat and delectable gravy was one dish I finished till the very last existence of it in my bowl.
The mini burgers served with fries where a delight to see when they arrived, just when we thought burgers couldn’t be healthy chef explained us about what lay in front of us- ‘The Green Burger’ with caramelized onion and feta; ‘Chicken Katsu’ with horseradish and grain mustard relish. Well I loved the Katsu burger more which had deep fried Japanese style crispy fried chicken stuffed between the buns.
From their section Local love, they served us ‘Kaddu ka Dalcha’ with Baghara Khana & ‘Kacche Gosht ki Biryani’ too full to taste any of it, we gave it a pass, but undoubtedly ITC does serve some great Biryani. (i don’t need to try this to say it, we all love their Biryani)
We winded up our meal with Sweet Adventures like ‘Pavilion Chocolate Fudge’ which was presented so beautifully, it almost broke my heart to destroy it, but worth every bite, especially the jaggery caramel sauce which was a treat to my taste buds.
We also had a taste of ‘Crème Brulee with Apricot Fig Biscotti’ served with some floral litchi honey and lime elixir. Well crème brulee is one of my favorite desserts and I thoroughly enjoyed it but… I will have to recommend the chocolate fudge as a MUST TRY. So go ahead and spend some gala time with your loved ones and taste these delicacies and much more.

Rajasthan is one state in India that i would never get tired of visiting, the colors, the food, the history everything makes for an enthralling experience that will make you keep coming back for more. So when I was invited for a special evening of ‘Marwari food festival’ at Sherton Hyderabad, uniquely planed by their head chef, Sumit kedia, who originally belongs to the land of flavors himself, I gladly accepted
Marwari food is one of the most scrumptious offering as part of north Indian cuisine; you just have to treat your taste buds the authentic way.
The ambiance and staff (dressed in traditional Marwari clothing) both added to the feel of ongoing fest. There were live counters and a lavish buffet spread with an array of Marwari and
Rajputana Delicacies. Since Marwari food is mainly vegetarian, chef added few authentic Rajput dishes to cater the non vegetarian’s as well (the buffet also offers few regular dishes, which I doubt you will bother over the special menu)
I really enjoyed the live counters set up in the restaurant, dishing out snacks, chaat items and appetizers. I really like the ‘Palak Chaat’, ‘Kachori’, ‘Papdi Chat’, they also had ‘Moong Dal Chilva’ and ‘Dosa’. While I sipped on some ‘Thandai’ chef sent us the next course of the meal.
The main reason I was looking forward for this food festival in Hyderabad was ‘Dal Bhati Churma’ and ‘Lal Maas’. Dal Bhati was good and lal maas was exceptional, the spicy dish accompanied with some ‘Bajre Ki Roti’ brought back memories of my trip to Rajasthan. I enjoyed it to my heart’s content. I also ‘Ker sangria’, ‘Kadhi pakodi’, ‘Gatte ki sabji’ out of which I really liked the tangy ker sangria. I had no space for rice, but ‘Pulav’ looked rich in flavors and tempting; however i love fish and couldn’t stop myself from trying the mouth melting ‘Sarosn Machi’
Coming to desserts, I am not a big fan of Indian desserts except ‘Ghevar’ and gulab jamun, I regularly get ghevar couriered from LMB in Jaipur and I was glad to have it here on menu. we missed out on the jalebi (we just over indulged in food and conversations so much that it was time they wrapped up lunch) but they had much more like ‘Moong Dal Halwa’ ‘Malpua’ ‘Gulab Jamun’ ‘Balushahi’ ‘Gujiya’ and just like buffet they had some really good chocolate mousse and other desserts to try.
What i loved the most here was the variety of ‘Achhar’ you like – ‘Ker ka achar’ ‘Pyaj ka achar’ ‘Aam ki lunji’ and ‘Tinda ka achar’. Some really unseal flavor to tickle your taste buds.
So go ahead and grab yourself an authentic ‘Marwari Meal’ this weekend. Don’t forget to share your experience and follow your favorite lifestyle blogger in Hyderabad on Instagram @fahsionetaista.
Venue: Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel, Gachibowli . Till: 25th November
Radisson Blu, one of the world’s leading brands with nearly 300 hotels in operation in 69 countries and territories, announced the “Love Blu, Be Pink” campaign where one room in each participating hotel across the globe has turned pink for the month of October. The pink Business Class guest room features pink décor and other special pink amenities. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the pink rooms will benefit charities that support breast cancer research and awareness.
They invited me to stay over and experience one of their business suits, where the room was turned into pink in accordance with the theme.
Food: Street Food Festival
The food festival was part of their restaurant ‘Chill’. While the indoors is quite fine dining experience the outdoors have been altered with vibrant decor and food stalls like tandoor’s, carts and grills, that give you a street side familiarity.
The best part of this food festival is it wasn’t just restricted to chaat treats like pani puri and tikkis but also had delicacies like mirchi bhaijji, chole bhature, idli-dosa, kheema pav and not to forget momo’s.
They even had live dessert counters for Jalebi rabri and cotton candy. The street food festival was however the extension of the regular buffet so we had option to choose form wide variety of salads, breads, main course and of course Biryani and desserts.
Chef also went beyond his way to sneak in a ‘Basil’ (other restaurant of Radisson) delicacy –Lobsters, sharp in aroma but full points for taste.
Overall the restaurant experience for dinner was very good and so was the breakfast, being weekend they have an extended lavish breakfast-brunch that is open till 12.
Like they said- Lavish, it had everything from English breakfast essentials, like beans, sausages, cereal and breads; and also south Indian delicacies like dosa and appam. What I loved the most was wide variety croissants, muffins (what can I say I love thy breads and maple topped pancakes.
Spa: Serena Spa
What is a staycation without Pampering. There in-house spa promotes Ayurveda. Their treatments are specially developed to suit the purpose of relaxation for body and mind. Combining the best traditions of Ayurveda with Aromatherapy and modern massage techniques they give you a unique experience.
I chose to go for Marma Spa, a signature 90 mins treatment for Body mind and spirit. This exotic and highly therapeutic, Ayurveda inspired massage with aromatic herbal oil stimulates the Marmas, the body’s vital pressure points. This full body massage begins with the balancing of the head’s Marmas followed by the body’s points massaged by the therapist’s feet and then by hand with long sweeping strokes. The treatment concludes with a healing, herbal body mask followed by a warm shower leaving you in a state of bliss.
I love the concept of Staycation, its like a mini vacation in this fast passed world for a much needed time for your self, to enjoy your meals in peace, read that long pending book, spend morning poolside and pamper yourself to the core. so dont wait up for a vacation book up and enjoy your Staycation right in Hyderbad.
Hyderabad is one of cities that is all about food, decked with its own Hyderabadi irani cafes and Biryani house’s ,the city has endless options of scrumptious flavors. With the authentic cuisine getting lost amidst commercialized dishes, Soda Bottle Opener Wala Hyderabad has now introduced its very own ‘Hyderabadi Irani Cafe Menu’ which has been developed using old recipes & flavors!
Irani Cafes of Hyderabad
These cafes flourished till the 1990s and then started disappearing as cities changed with modernization- soaring real estate prices, arrival of lucrative career options for the new generation and opening of air-conditioned cafes. The older part of the city still has some of the iconic Irani cafes & bakeries like Iqbal Cafe, Nimra Cafe, Nayaab, Madina Cafe, Nilofer Cafe, Shehraan Hotel, Subhan Bakery among others. A visit to these cafes kicks in nostalgia and is truly an experience.
Hyderabadi Irani Cafe Menu at SodaBottleOpenerWala, Hyderabad
Traditional Irani Chai pairs best with Bun Butter and freshly baked Hyderabadi biscuits like the famous sweet and salty Osmania biscuits that can lead to serpentine queues at some of their famous selling joints. There are others like Chand, Shatranj and Badam biscuits and Dilpasand puffs. No visit to a Hyderabadi Irani Café is complete without the delicious mutton mince filled Varqi Lukhmis, which are savory puffs, of which they make a vegetarian version too. Marag, a spicy and appetizing mutton soup, served with heart shaped Dil Naan is a common wedding delight. Paya and Zabaan Nihari served with naan are delicious soupy delights made with trotters and tongue with dominant flavors of garam masala and dagad phool or stone flower; Talahuwa Gosht, a simple preparation of fried mutton, onion and basic spices, brings out the flavor of the meat ; the Irani Haleem, a slow cooked preparation combines the goodness of wheat, barley, meat, lentils and spices. It is served with chopped mint leaves, a squeeze of lemon, fried onions, chopped ginger and green chilies. The Hyderabadi Mutton/Chicken Biryani will entice non-vegetarians. The Vegetarians get to enjoy delights like Talihuwi Arbi, Bagara Khana, Khatti Dal and a Veg Biryani served with Baghare Baigan and dahi ki chutney. Do not miss on the flavors of Kaddu ka Dalcha a preparation of lentils cooked with gourd which truly represents the Mughlai cuisine of Hyderabad. End your meal on a sweet note with Qoobani Ka Meetha, a delicious dessert made by combining apricots and malai.
Go try and have a great week ahead, do follow me on Instagarm for all the update @fashioneatista , your Hyderabad Lifestyle blogger signing off for now
All new (and all day) cafe located amidst the busiest wok atmosphere is a bliss in itself. Blanc Glace is a very European inspired cafe cum restaurant. As soon as you spot the place the bright hues of yellow and blue attract you, the outdoors are like a street cafe where you can unwind over a cup of coffee or just sit indoors which is formally again divided in three sections. The Moroccan tiles and furniture just adds zeal to the place, its spacious, has a great vibe and even better food. Hyderabad is flooding with new places every week, but every place has its own charm and come with their authenticity, which makes it so indulging and exciting to share my food reviews with you. Hyderabad food blogger, Hyderabad top blogger, food blog
Blanc Glace is the one-stop bakeshop, and mind you it’s all freshly made in house. Form widest selection of breads, cakes, pastries, Pizza’s, and Pasta’s the place has lot to offer. They have a complete section of lip smacking desserts, with so much variety, that you will be spoilt for choice. Indian blogger, Hyderabad food blogger, Hyderabad fashion blogger

A chance to savoir fresh out of oven cookies just made my day. From muffins to cake slice, tarts to pastries, mousse to brownies the list is endless. food blogger, Hyderabad
We began our meal with fresh fruit juice and smoothie. Keeping in mind their location, which is right at the heart of Raheja Mindspace, where people are straining and starving. The owner has kept in mind the healthy count and has included some healthy choice like dishes with brown rice; fresh fruits based juice and pure smoothies.
The place is more just too pretty and the ambiance overall is great and so is the food, starting with live music soon this place should be on your list to visit soon in Hyderabad. it a great option to chill with your friends or family this weekend. Location: Inside Mind Space, Hitech City. Ph: 33194284
Step into Hoppipola and be enveloped by this warm, fuzzy feeling of having come to your happy place. The space is massive yet cosy enough for it to feel personal. Pristine white walls, glass stained doors, a clustered wall of colorful birdhouses, gliders hanging off the ceiling and specks of quirks all around; that pretty much sums up the first look and feel of Hoppipola. Hyderabad blogger, Hyderabad lifestyle blogger, Hyderabad food blogger
Hoppipola encourages a lot of hoppi things. With a hoard of board games and the hoppi favorite live-sized Jenga, there is never a dull moment at Hoppipola. On close inspection, the tables are all actually blackboards, so while one waits for food and mulls over drinks, one may play noughts and crosses and dots away to glory or put the artist in them to work and simply doodle all over the table. Hyderabad blogger, Indian blogger
Serving an extensive bar menu, Hoppipola serves refreshing, innovative cocktails with just the right amount of flavor and kick and just what one needs to set the mood right. Served in quirky bar-ware, drinking at Hoppipola is a delight. For my blog, like a true food blogger i went on to taste some of the most yummy stuff just to share the review with you. We loved the ‘Bird Cage’ cocktail and ‘CNC’ (a cumin and cucumber flavored drink) but we absolutely loved the ‘Nutty Fruity’ (hint of pineapple, hazelnut syrup and cranberry juice made it a relishing never tried before drink)
Hoppipola serves interesting pub-grub for all kinds of appetites and palettes. Some little munchies to pair with your drinks like ‘Smokin Carlos’ ‘Chicken Trilogy’ ‘The Harissan Fish’ and ‘Lambada’ (well they have a lot more options but these are what we tried) we ordered ‘Cup of Oriental’ –Thai curry served with sauce (absolute favorite and MUST TRY). For those seeking a complete meal, there are pastas, pizzas and some interesting mains that will make for a sumptuous dinner.
Food was great but I liked the vegetarian options more than the non vegetarian ones, as the later lacked the flavors and somehow everything i tasted seemed similar and the fish too wasn’t fresh. But there is still lot more to try on the menu.
Some places are too pretty to put in words. Autumn Leaf Cafe is a backyard homely cafe which reminded me of my favorite book ‘The secret garden’ well like the name suggest it’s a story about a secret garden that a lonely little girl finds and makes it her source of happiness (it’s a must read) amidst her frenzied life.
In this busy and chaotic life when you bump into an almost secret place (almost because, a word of good place spreads like a sweet fragrance. Quick and tempting) it’s a delight. It’s not every day that a cafe becomes known more for their stunning architecture than their food. I can spend all my time here; work here, chill here and if i was lucky in love I would have all my dates here too.
We started of with a welcome drink -orange juice served in a cute little jar, sipping it away while i basked in the joy of landing up at this place. On recommendation the soups that we ordered were- ‘Albondigas Soup’ (my favorite), ‘Hungarian Mushroom Soup’ (also delightful, i love mushrooms, so a good creamy mushroom soup always tops my list) i really loved the soups and also the other options available on menu seemed very interesting, you can see the effort of mixing new flavors to basic ingredients.
I enjoyed the ‘Barbecue Wings’, lip-smacking and piquant, i could finish the entire portion by myself. ‘The Spinach and Corn Dip’ was too bland for my taste and i dint really enjoy the ‘Chicken cheese Burger’ either. The veg starter ‘Goat Cheese Phyllo Puffs’ was something like i have never tried before; it is exceptional with a crispy texture that leads to a melt- in-the mouth surprise. In desserts their ‘Fried Oreo’s’ are just too good to be true, served with ice cream, it is a perfect end to a perfect meal.
They have a lot of appetizing breakfast options as well along with some healthy alternatives for those who are conscious about fitness. All in all I love the place I am surely visiting soon to grab a coffee and just laze around with a good book.
So don’t wait for the weekend, the good weather is here, so drive up to autumn leaf cafe and take pleasure in your time.
Do share your experience and tag me on Instagram- Fashioneatista, the only Hyderabad blogger that gets you best of places and fashion in Hyderabad
Glokal is the new favorite in town; the place has a very modern vibe and even better mix of food. Thinking global but presenting local is what the place is all about. The weekend just got better as we sipped away the signature drinks and tasted the best, suggested by chef. Exclusively curated platters helped us taste better and more.
The Chaat, yes they serve chat, well dint i say they have the most desi tadka to the place, well food is the main element to it. What we tried was thin crust vegetarian pizza that’ll remind you of the Papdi Chaat available in the streets of North India.
The vegetarian platter included “Peanut & Tamarind marinated Cauliflower, Broccoli and Baby Potatoes, Wild Mushroom & Cheddar Kebabs, Grilled Paneer with Red Onions & Bell Peppers in Peri Peri, Broccoli with English Mustard and Cheese” looked and tasted really nice, broccoli was in a new flavor form regular malai ones we get, but on the whole it was pretty decent. Well i was waiting for my non vegetarian platter so let’s just get to it.
In Non vegetarian platter we were served portions of “Lazeez Chicken Cheese Kebabs, (now before i move ahead i can’t wait to tell you how sinfully amazing it was, the yummy kebabs with oozing flavor of cheese, it is the best item they have on their menu, which i definitely say everyone must try) Churrasco Chicken Plate Steaks, Jose Chicken Kebabs (wonderfully juicy), Street Satay (it was good but i felt there could be more flavor to it), Mint & Coriander Marinated Chicken Drumsticks, Reshampatti Spice Botis, LGBT Prawn Skewers, Salt n Pepper Grilled Shrimps” well sea food is really good and the options are just incredible, well that goes for everything form veg to non veg to Drinks
The drinks menu features many of the regular delights as well as a handful of carefully crafted signature cocktails. My favorite is a strong, whisky based cocktail called Black Magic, which is essentially a Smoked Old Fashioned without the sweetness. It’s served in a rather ominous looking glass that’s shaped like a skull. The Mirage is another vodka based cocktail that is served in a golden, pineapple-shaped vessel.
Chef also served us “Coorgi Murgi Dry Fry, Sriraja Jhinga Koliwada” well these two especially the jhinga were outstanding, with a hint of lemon i added on top and its crisp texture it was just foodgasmic until the last bite.
Thank god to the small portions we had place for desserts but what we weren’t expecting was more than one of them… we were sent to heaven just seeing the four very different and diverse flavors “Masala Chai Panacotta (its light and perfect for people how don’t really like extra sweet dessert. served with biscuit crumb topping i sure enjoyed it) Firni Crème Brulee, Kalkatta Paan Cheese Cake (sinful, that sure is one thing i am ordering every time i am there), Toxic Mousse”
Location: Ground Floor & First Floor, Niharika One, Road 1, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.
Have a super awesome weekend.
The collection by global desi #beyourownsunshine is almost empowering, i mean how many times a week do we have those moments when we really feel like having someone to cheer us up? well happens with me all the time; and as a human being i tend to look at others to make me happy.
But, i have been more positive than ever this year… i dint make any resolution, i just knew i needed it for my own good, i accepted to be positive, and that is the first thing you need to do, accept to be positive. its half battle won, but a difficult one to hold on to.
You know what i feel, its all in the mind, if you decide strongly that you want to be positive, and deny to take any negativity you can. it wont be easy.. but it wont effect you much if you believe in it. People around may be negative but you can changethat.. how? simple! don’t encourage them, don’t talk about things that gives you negative vibes, oh and please get rid of negative people in life.. i did, and i feel soo good.
Love Yourself… feeling low? watch a funny movie, keep yourself occupied, start a hobby, read, go for lunch or a drive alone.it give you time to be with yourself and enjoy your own company (avoid the sad playlist.. please). go to a park, talk it out to a pet, nature, write or just record and laugh at it later(i did that once and i was like how lame and depressed i sound, is that how i come across people.. STOPPED immediately m)
Lastly member, everyone… no matter how satisfied or happy they come across has there own baggage, so be happy, be positive, and be grateful. People love being around positive people it makes everyone happy, especially people with good vibes, who are there own sunshine.
Coming to my look, i am wearing a ‘Global Desi’ dress from their #beyourownsunshine summer collection. Its very summery, the colour make me look and feel happy. Yellow make my skin tone look bright too, and talk about comfort? well i could sleep in it.. and anything of that rating is the most comfortable clothing ever.. its airy, flowy and soft.! paired it with my ALDO heels and bag it is my go to look (which was also my day to night outfit i wore to office- minus the heels of course, then went for a late lunch with a friend – where i added the heels and earrings; and later a family dinner.. hey its weekend so don’t judge)
Hope you have a great week ahead, do share your summer go to look and tag me on Instagram and Facebook @fashioneatista
Sunday brunch for me is synonymous to luxury me’ time just as much as Chandon is for a (happening) party. So imagine my delight when my Sunday was turned into a pleasure when Olive Bistro invited me for Chandon wine launch (brunch) party.
No place in Hyderabad can beat the vibe at olive Bistro; it’s fun, fresh and has an addictively relaxing vibe. Even when the indoors were reserved I (like many others) chose to stay outdoors, I mean why wouldn’t we, the place with huge sprinklers, fresh flowers, chilled wines and not to forget the lounge chairs with cushions to add to the perfection. Summers and brunch are like match made in heaven, the crowd was full of head turners where most of the men were spotted in white, while ladies rocked their perfect summer dresses (I felt like someone magically transported me to santorini… still drooling)
From veg skewers to pizza the food was appetizing as ever. Maître d’ moved around replacing the empty glasses with fresh cocktails and wine. The desserts were however a fresh change from usual favorites, the berry tarts was my favorite.

It’s been a crazy week and i decided to indulge in some food (for change) that is not actually on my usual list. Well let’s just say i love Italian over anything (Biryani doesn’t count, its epitome of everything) Hyderabad blogger, Hyderabad, lifestyle blogger, fashion, style, blogger, Indian blogger, 2016
The Chinese (food) lovers on the other hand has a reason to rejoice with “China Bistro” in town, after a successful feat in Mumbai they have entered the Hyderabad food paradise with nothing but the best. The ambiance is very charming and so is the warm service staff. Hyderabad blogger, Hyderabad, lifestyle blogger, fashion, style, blogger, Indian blogger, 2016
Helping us what to choose while we sipped on some tea, we started off by ordering and ‘Crispy chicken Cheong Fun’, ‘Veg Cheong Fun’ these were just amazing the gooey (gel like) texture outside leads into a total surprise off crispness inside, the flavors with added sauce are just tantalizing.
Next came ‘Chicken Satay’ light in flavors but very well cooked. I am a more of flavourful person so i will probably give this a miss next time. Before our next dish came in we were surprised with cute buckets that had ‘ Lychee sorbets’ trust me i almost forgot there was more food coming and finished the icy surprise until the last drop (well that is what became of it in the end…)
Next came in these beautifully rolled very crispy, saucy and just too yummy to put into words. This is a must try and i promise it will blow up your senses. For main course we stuck with ‘Hot Pot Noodles’ well disaster stuck as we had to return it because of ‘no salt’ issue but the ‘Apple Martini’ kept us busy until the desserts.
‘Chocolate Tsunami’ was the star of our meal, it was as sinful as it looked, the perfect mousse with chocolate sauce dripping all around it. Heaven in a plate.
