Sarovar Premiere, Jaipur

Just 7 km from Jaipur Airport, this beautiful new property is a great option for people who like to get a taste of luxury under budget, the beautifully done hotel stands out with its beautiful exterior glitzy entrance that looks classy with whole white, gold, and copper look, that is carried throughout the property. Sarovar Premiere, offers a choice of rooms and suites, facilitated with luxurious interiors and amenities that promise you a splendid stay experience.

I stayed at Sarovar Primer for a day but the sheer spaciousness of my room felt luxurious. The meals were served in the room on request. The one most soul satisfying meal i had was a filling Indian breakfast that was absolutely delightful and in the comfort of my living room. The hotel houses a fine dining multi-cuisine restaurant, an intimate rooftop restaurant, and a bar that is designed keeping the young crowd in mind. They have a luxurious pool, and facilities such as doctor on call, flexible check-in check-out, and travel desk that adds to making your stay an excellent one.

Tooka Restobar – Tooka is an outsourced bar at the hotel premises. The cold winter evening, electric fire heaters and a beautiful glass house, which had some indoor seating but primarily the bar area lights up the entire area. Some signature cocktails under the open sky, good music and food that warms up your soul, Tooka was definitely an incredible evening.

Nestled amidst an ambient setting, yet close to the airport, railway station and bus station, Sarovar Premiere, Jaipur, is an apt choice for those seeking luxury and convenience.

Ramada by Wyndham, Jaipur

I have been visiting Jaipur as a tradition every year now, for Jaipur Literature Festival, this year however the exciting festival was held digitally but that didn’t stop me from visiting my favorite city.

I was glad I had covered most of the touristy places and so this time I wanted to just enjoy the best of winter weather, food, and luxury of some time for myself.

My stay at Ramada by Wyndham Jaipur- Jaisinghpura was an absolute treat. 16 kilometres from Jaipur International Airport (JAI) in peaceful Jaisinghpura, the hotel is a short drive from the Amber Fort & Palace, City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Jantar Mantar. The hotel is a destination in itself, with great food, spacious rooms, and all modern amenities at a dial. The hotel is a perfect example of heritage meets modernity, the beautiful arched pathways stole my heart right on arrival. The presidential suite I stayed in was every bit of luxury, so much that I didn’t step out of the hotel even once throughout my stay.

The gold and maroon color scheme of the room added a royal touch to the very well done room with long windows draped with curtains. The highlight however was my massively spacious private terrace where I spent most of my time. I was so glad I was traveling with my best friend and we made a great stay out of it watching movies, having tea over sunsets, dining under the stars with some exceptionally well-prepared food.

Rosé Amer, Jaipur

Jaipur has never been short of experience, even when I feel I have seen most of it in this beautiful Pink city, there is something that always blows my mind. My experience at Rose Amer was exactly that. Tucked right in the center of the city, the exterior of the place keeps the mystery of what’s inside perfectly enveloped. It is only when you enter the lobby you see the little details that add up to the big reveal (well at least for me, it was)

After a brief introduction of the place and a welcome drink ‘Anesthesia’ i was escorted to a beautiful private and outdoor cabana setup, where the pink and white theme was quite evident. My lunch experience (which can be booked on prior reservations only) came with a private server, an array of wine selections, and lunch that included dishes like – Parmesan cup with hokaya salad, Beer butterfish Orly, soya chap in khad style, Cucumber, and mint soup, Beetroot cream cheese nuts salad (my absolute favorite) followed by Herb-crusted chicken drumstick and Mooli ka halwa for dessert that blew my mind (that by the way was so well made, I could hardly taste the mooli bit, which I must say I hate).

The well-trained staff made sure I had an amazing experience with their warm hospitality, timing the courses just right and though I couldn’t see the sunset, my late lunch extended through it and it ended with peacocks singing in the background. The meal overall was the best of local and continental food, a menu inspired by a book printed by the family of owners, years back called “Dadi Ki Rasoi”

Can’t wait to return to this beautiful place, fit for modern-day royalty and experience a stay. I hear their rooms are a gem in terms of minimalistic decor and beautiful detailing. If you do happen to visit before me do share your experience with me on Instagram.

Clarks Amer, Jaipur

20181009_173847

Jaipur is one of my favorite cities in India, it is a perfect mix of heritage, modern royalty and some of the best hotels. I can keep coming back to city and still have so much to look forward for. This time my stay was extended by ‘The Clarks Amer’ that represents exactly the same. The grandeur perfectly in sync with contemporary architecture, hosting leisure travelers and business delegates alike.

Room with a view at Clarks Amer, Jaipur

I experienced the warmth of their hospitality right when I reached Jaipur. Chauffeur along with a hotel staff member came to pick me up, as I reached way early in the morning, they pleasantly stopped for a quick cup of tea at Tapri on request, and i finally felt i was in Jaipur.

20181009_111003
Scrumptious breakfast in room at Clarks Amer, Jaipur

On welcome I was swiftly checked in to my suite, very tastefully-furnished and spacious with a living area, dining table that can easily accommodate 4 to 5 people and a separate area leading to washroom and bedroom that has glass a window giving a slight peek of Hawa mahal amidst trees and also overlooking pool, with all necessary amenities of a star hotel. While I dozed off catching up on my sleep from all the hectic travel, the chef was kind enough to send in a late breakfast right to my room and I was so delighted to see hot kachoris, kadi and jalebi. I savored every bit of it, and this is exactly what a first breakfast in Jaipur should be like.

Clark Amer is equipped with some of the finest restaurant in town, staying or not, these are must visit when in Jaipur. Each is special in its own way and I was glad I was staying here for three days, and got ample of time do devour at each restaurant and also explore the city.

Rajasthani Thali at Durbar, Clarks Amer, Jaipur

Durbar- The all day dining restaurant serving North Indian and Continental cuisines, i had my very first meal here and it was an elaborate Rajasthani thali, it included laal maans, dal baati and even ker sangri among other dishes. The venue is designed for enjoying a delicious feast with friends and family.

Coffee Martini, at rooftop taBLU, Clarks Amer, Jaipur

taBLU- The most happening place in Clarks Amer (apart from Lobby during the day, which is always buzzing with exited guests), is a rooftop restaurant that offers breathtaking views accompanied with great drinks and good music. Their LIT is something I would definitely recommend apart from the coffee martins. The place often sees live performance and keep hosting famous bands. It is a perfect place to visit for drinks and if you are staying inhouse, then there is nothing better than this, post a long touristy day, the mere fact that your room is right below is relaxing.

Mughlai Thali with a view at Dhola Maru, Clarks Amer, Jaipur

Dhola Maru- Is the specialty restaurant that serves Mughlai, Rajasthani and North Indian located on top floor this restaurant too has perks of twinkling city lights, a view that adds to the royal and romantic ambiance. The hospitality throughout my stay has been incredibly warm, but it was this place that brought out the best of it. They have some of the most experienced, humblest and welcoming staff. The thali I had was a gastronomical treat, it included Nihari Gosht, Nargisi Kofta, Paneer Makhni, Tava Veg Lazeez, Lassuni Dal, Kache Gosht ki Biryani, Purani Raita an Malpua for dessert.

Half n Half Pizza at Zolocrust, Clarks Amer, Jaipur

Pasta with home grown veggies at Zolocrust, Clarks Amer, Jaipur

Zolocrust – Probably the first restaurant you will spot when you enter the hotel, the place is filled with light aromas of coffee and freshly baked breads during the day. It is a 24×7 live bakery and pizzeria, but what makes it special is that every service here, even beyond cooking is all take care by the chefs themselves. From serving to clearing tables, not using plastic to offering vegan options, the place definitely has set its standard very high. They offer some really good desserts, apart from pizzas, pasta and shakes that I highly recommended.

Post spa lounging at Clarks Amer, Jaipur

‘Clarks Amer’ happens to the first 5-star hotel in Jaipur in the state of Rajasthan, and while you may be busy exploring heritage outside, they also happen to have the oldest working lift in the city. They have a beautiful pool, take a dip or just lounge around, or even better take a spa treatment just like I did. While I had a lot to explore, I went for a quick foot massage but they do offer full body massages, because what’s a holiday without a quick spa treatment.

Located on the prestigious JLN Marg, Clarks Amer is just a 5-minute drive from the Jaipur International Airport and a 15-minute drive from major city attractions such as City Palace, Birla Mandir, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. They are perfectly equipped for large events, conferences and weddings, but with my experience I will suggest you to make your booking way in advance, so it’s not sold out, which it tends to most of the times.

J W Marriott Resort & Spa, Jaipur

J W Marriott is one of the most recognized hotel brands in the world, and at their all new property- J W Marriott Resort and Spa, Jaipur we experienced most energized hospitality and were treated to some incredible meals. The property has a welcoming atmosphere, right from the traditional welcome and breathtaking lobby, there is incredible attention to detail that made our stay full of utmost comfort.

21- Swimming Pool-JAINH
JW Marriott Resort and Spa, Jaipur- Royal and Splendid

The Resort

It can be rightly said that J W Marriott Jaipur Resort & Spa is a modern day palace. I mean if i was a queen today, i would want my palace just this way, away from the hustle of the city, surrounded by the hills with all modern amenities and architecture that displays the best craftsmanship. A white tone follows throughout the property with breaks of blue and metallic at various places, well manicured paths, artistically done fountain spaces (indoor as well as outdoors), grand arches that are perfectly apt for a modern day royalty; and staying here we got treated exactly like that. When touring the property I was awestruck by the doors, the hand-painted patterns by local artisans, paintings and the architecture on the whole.

Food & Restaurants

Food at these restaurant are curated by executive chef Yogender Pal, i was delighted to meet him as i have known him for years, from when he was at The Marriott in Hyderabad. Sukh Mahal restaurant offers modern world cuisine but multi-cuisine delicacies are rustled up as adeptly as marwari meals in this all day restaurant.

On our last day we had a special surprise dinner at Mohan Mahal, just being there was a special experience, it was like dining in sheesh mehal. Mohan Mahal restaurant, is a gorgeous, tenderly-lit restaurant that serves up Rajasthani and Mughlai thali, open only for dinner. The design and beauty of the restaurant is architecturally reflective of Amer Fort’s Sheesh Mahal. Lit by candles, with Rajasthani music and gurgling fountains within the restaurant, provides a beautiful background score. Taking a notch above the meals are served in silver-plated tableware and local delicacies left us with a most found memory, one that will definitely add up to best dinner experiences i have had.

Chai and Musical evenings by the pool at JW Marriott Resort & Spa, Jaipur

Evening tea, in khullads (they also have cup options but obviously we preferred the desi khullad and masala chai) are best enjoyed while witnessing the performance by the pool that included folk music and folk dance. They also have a lot of fun activities like henna application, puppet show, pottery, elephant rides for kids and relaxing SPA sessions (read here), J W Marriott Jaipur has something to keep everyone indulged.

Room- Royal Courtyard Room

Our villa was bright, lively and equipped with amenities like cable tv, safe, coffee/tea maker, walk in closet and an attached bathroom with a tub and forest essentials toiletries, i love forest essentials; period. But our room and outdoor lounging area was not that got me excited, i mean it was beautiful but what i loved the most was our private outdoor plunge pool.

I spent an entire day and night right at the property to soak in all the beauty and luxury, i even spent a freezing few hours out in the lounging area watching the night sky and gazing the stars. If it wasn’t for January and winters, and the fact that it was more colder because it was at the outskirts, i would have spent the night out in the open.

22-Hotel pathway- JAINH

The landscape of this place has been done so amazingly that I absolutely enjoyed strolling around the property. The resort has a massive swimming pool by itself for all the guests.

We spent 3 days at this property, but it still felt like it wasn’t enough. The hotel is quite secluded from the city but the helpful staff had a car ready for us whenever we needed (on request), that made travelling totally hassle free for us. Finding cabs might get little tricky in the area so I suggest you book in advance. Being winters the nights were freezing, but I enjoyed my visit both to Jaipur and J W Marriott to the core.

sujan raj intro
Sujan Rajmahal Palace, Jaipur

I was in Jaipur just a couple of months back, and in spite of spending good leisure time, I was longing for more.  All of a sudden, there were too many things happening, all leading the way to Jaipur. My cousin was getting engaged, the Jaipur Literature Festival (that has been on my list forever) was happening around the same weekend and my girlfriends needed a vacation. The end result was a weeklong trip to Pink City.

Sujan Rajmahal Palace, Jaipur

I always like to start my holiday on a grand note and end it on more relaxing one.  So I had planned to spend my day at Sujan Rajmahal Palace Hotel, which involved an elaborate lunch at the all new ‘Rajmahal Café’, tour of the palace that offered a glimpse into royal grandeur of maharajas followed by High Tea (well coffee for me) at the mesmerising turquoise ‘Collonnade’.

Sujan Rajmahal Palace Hotel is every bit opulent as the name suggests. Once home of maharaja, the design post refurbishment will make any present day royalty drool, leave alone us common admirers. Colours and design rule all over the place, from wallpapers to geometric patterns, flowers that bloom under chandeliers, effervescent colour play in different rooms, all of it will leave you enticed.

Vajra

This restaurant has both Indian and European cuisine on offer with a stunning architecture indoors and view of Aravalli’s outdoors. From my three day stay, i dined here twice. Once i opted for authentic Rajasthani thali and the other time opted for a 4 course continental menu, each dish is made to perfection to please your taste buds and i loved every bit of it. The warm and welcoming staff will just add to your experience and take you on a culinary journey you will cherish.

Chakra Bar

The décor at the circular Chakra Bar reflects the moving night sky and has fountains of mist swirling outside its slit windows. The luxe lounge bar has an eclectic selection of cocktails and wine. The bar with its elegant interiors is great to catch up for a drink and spend some leisure time.

Machan

A special dining experience at Machan is a must when staying at Lebua. The evening i spent here will be part of ‘one of the best meals of my life’ list. Starting early almost at 6 30, we arrived to an artistically lit stone staircase followed by wine and magical sunset moments. It is a stunning venue where design, cuisine and service come together for an evening like no other. Course by course was served, conversations were made over wine and some wishful stars.

IMG_3012

Lebua offers great options for personalised meals, if you prefer they could organize an in-house picnic for you in one of their lawns or a special dining experience. I had my share at Machan and also a special high tea evening arranged at the convenience at the private terrace of my suite.

Hospitality Par Excellence at Lebua Resort, Jaipur

le bua

Located on the fringes of the city, amidst serene Aravali Hills, Lebua Resort is a luxury boutique hotel and spa destination in itself that channels the region’s color, vibrancy and cultural splendor.  The architecture of this resort property is heavily influenced by Jantar Mantar, the royal observatory but the result is so contemporary it’s hard to tell.  The entire resort has sweeping views that marries contemporary design with a Rajasthani sensibility. The raw red stone of the arched building appears fiery in the evening sun while each of the 60 suites and three villas at Lebua Resort, Jaipur are a celebration of textures, patterns, latticework and color. Sporting, opulent with maximal interiors, every room overlooks Aravali Mountains and is equipped with modern amenities.

We were allotted a luxury suite , each suite is styled after one of Jaipur’s famous jewel colors and i got red. With unique black and white terrazzo flooring,  my suit had a traditional bay window for seating with jharokas that played with light that came in and also reflected on beautiful mirror work on ceiling.  The suit is full of artistic details, from  hidden bride painting above the bed, intricate inlays, hammered metal surfaces or sheer work of glass throughout the ceiling.

The Palace Restaurant- Baradari, Jaipur

Baradari is where the royal grandeur meets the urban present. Baradari is the latest in a series of initiatives by the Jaipur royal family for the visitors at City Palace.  An elegant bar, white and black interiors with hints or traditional red side walls this place was just what i needed after my royal tour at city palace.

Tangy Brie Kachori at Baradari, Jaipur

After meeting the head chef, i left it on him to send us his best and i was treated well. sipping wine while i discussed all the royal encounters i just had at city palace, where every corner boasted rich heritage.  I soaked into the royalty around as they served scrumptious food that was perfect blend of Indian recipes and international combinations.

A delicious meal at Baradari, Jaipur

We started with ‘Tangy Brie Kachori’s’ filled with caramelized onions , served with aloo chat, headed to local delicacy  ‘Lal Maas’  served with Bajre ki khichdi and blanched spinach and bhati. I really enjoyed the ‘Agli Olie Pasta’ and ‘Risotto’ was out of the world. to wind up the meal, chef customized a traditional dessert platter that had everything form, ‘Apple Jalebi’, ‘Creme Brule’, ‘Ghevar’ and ‘Gulab Jamun’.

The place is a treat in evenings where the palace is lit up and vibe here is as urban as it can get. The dishes here are approved and inspired from the royal household who wishes to offer public a culinary treat through Baradari. I would definitely recommend you to visit this place when in Jaipur and get a taste of local cuisine in most fusion way.
